Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana is making waves in his debut European season, attracting interest from French Ligue 1 side Lorient and prompting astronomical valuations from his current club president.

The 26-year-old centre-back has impressed in Romania with FCSB, consistently delivering strong performances. His standout showing against Universitatea Craiova last week earned him a spot in the Team of the Week for the fourth time this season, solidifying his reputation as a defensive force.
Gigi Becali, president of FCSB, is bullish on Ngezana’s future, predicting a significant transfer. “Ask any opponent how they feel facing Ngezana and Dawa,” Becali said, referring to his defensive partner.

“They’re panthers. No one can break through them. If they had better technique, they’d be worth €70-€80 million [R1.4-R1.6 billion].”
