ITHUBA has pledged R2 million to Banyana Banyana as they embark on their FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign in Australia and New Zealand.
This comes after a disagreement between the Banyana Banyana squad and SAFA regarding player payments at the upcoming tournament.

The payment issue boiled over to the point that the squad failed to represent the nation against Botswana last Sunday in their final World Cup warm-up match at the Tsakane Stadium in Ekurhuleni.
ITHUBA Head of Marketing Michelle van Trostsenburg, joined by SAFA president Danny Jordaan, announced that a sum of R2 million will be pledged to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to equal opportunity.

Van Trostsenburg expressed that ITHUBA is dedicated to ensuring women are given equal pay and support in sports.
