Ghanian media reports claim that Kwesi Appiah’s Starting XI for Ghana vs Benin has been leaked.

Three players – Lumor Agbeyenu, Kasim Nuhu and Thomas Agyepong – are reportedly set to make their debut for the Black Stars.

But the biggest surprise if the media reprots are true, is that Kwadwo Asamoah and the all-time top scorer Asamoah Gyan are on the bench.

The Ayew brothers, Jordan and Andre, are reportedly starting instead.

Gyan has been at the centre of several controversies during his career.

Most notably, in the build up to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations,

The ageing forward retired last month after being stripped of the captaincy. That drama was resolved when state president Nana Akufo-Addo persuaded him to carry on.

Reports claim the Ghana line-up will look like this:

Ghana XI: Richard Ofori; Andy Yiadom, Lumor Agbenyenu, John Boye, Kasim Adams Nuhu, Mubarak Wakaso, Thomas Partey, Christian Atsu, Thomas Agyepong, Jordan Ayew, Andre Ayew
