Cristiano Ronaldo’s mom won’t be at Manchester United ‘debut’ after stadium BAN!

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has explained why he has BANNED his mother from attending his matches.

The 36-year-old is currently preparing for his second Manchester United ‘debut’ when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side welcome Newcastle to Old Trafford on Saturday, 11 September.

But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, 66, is unlikely to be at the Theatre of Dreams – with Ronaldo declaring it’s for her own good!

According to The Sun website, the football superstar said his mother gets too nervous watching him in action.

He added that his mother gets so anxious in the stands that she has fainted TWICE inside stadiums, with one of her falls resulting in broken teeth!

Speaking to Daily Mail journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo said: “She’s not allowed now to watch big games.

“I say, ‘Listen, I don’t have a father any more. I don’t want to lose my mum, too, so you’re not going to watch quarter-finals, semi-finals, or finals.

“She gets so nervous, I don’t understand why. She is not allowed now to watch big games.

“I get friends to stay with her and she goes for walks around the house. She fainted two times in the stadium. She is nervous.”
