Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick insanity, Messi could never!

Cristiano Ronaldo is fond of the odd hat-trick. He’s done something genuinely absurd for Al-Nassr, in case you missed it last week.

Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t done yet, you can tell your friends. Tell Lionel Messi too.

Yes, it’s the Saudi Pro League and it’s not the most prestigious division in the world, but 38-year-old CR7 hit a four-goal salvo last week and hit a ridiculous landmark in the process.

CRISTIANO RONALDO HITS A HALF CENTURY

The great man has now struck 500 domestic league goals in his career after his four-goal haul for Al-Nassr. He’s now scored 61 hat-tricks, 30 of those came before he turned 30 and the next 31 came after. He’s now 38. Astonishing. Hitting a hat-trick on 61 separate occasions is absurd enough, but to score more of them after you’re 30 is just stuff from another planet.

ICYMI: Nine punishments that Manchester City could face

CR7 and his Al-Nassr teammates face Al-Taawoun this coming weekend, where Ronaldo will be keen to cash in once more. It’s not insane to predict that he’ll score the 62nd hat-trick of his pro career. Lionel Messi, meanwhile, is a massive doubt for PSG against Bayern in the UCL this week after missing their Ligue 1 defeat to Monaco at the weekend.
