Ranga Chivaviro could be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs. Or it could be Richards Bay. There’s a big fight looming over his services.

After scoring 17 goals from 30 appearances in all competitions this season, several clubs have reportedly shown interest in Chivaviro, but the 30-year is believed to have turned down a lucrative offer from Libyan club Al Akhdar.

Ranga Chivaviro off to?

And while we know he won’t be at Marumo Gallants anymore, we aren’t exactly sure who he will line up for going forward.

As reported by iDiski Times, the playmaker had joined Marumo Gallants prior to the start of last season. He then was said to have signed a pre-contract with Richards Bay.

Yet Gallants had the option to extend his contract, which they duly did, rendering his pre-contract null and void.

It’s further suggested that another twist to the tale came when Gallants apparently agreed to a transfer fee to Pirates as part of a double deal that involved Katlego Otladisa, who is set to head to the Buccaneers.

Nevertheless, it’s suggested that the experienced striker was not keen on a move to Pirates where he felt game-time would be limited, and instead he preferred a move to Yanga or Chiefs.

According to popular online source Unplayable, Chiefs have already successfully secured the services of Chivaviro, and could have this confirmed in the coming days.
