The future of Andile Jali continues to draw attention with Mamelodi Sundowns seemingly allowing him to leave.

What we know at the moment is that Jali’s contract at Sundowns is running out fast. It expires at the end of season and that has attracted the local media to speculate on his future.

The indications coming from the Masandawana coaching staff is that the matter is being handled behind closed doors.

Now, it seems that Chiefs have a few rivals to land Jali on a free contract.

“He is obviously an easy player to find a new club for because of his experience. But he is in no hurry to make the move as yet. There is an offer for him in KwaZulu-Natal, I am not sure if it’s AmaZulu or Richards Bay that are interested – it could be both. There is also one in Gauteng but I do not know the club there. But he will find another team very soon,” said the source to The Citizen.

Zwane not a fan?

“If he was on the list of players Chiefs were looking at, then it is not going to happen any more,” a source told the Citizen.

“Arthur (Zwane, the Chiefs coach) is very strict on such things. He does not want players whose lifestyle can be a disturbance to his team.”

Jali joined Sundowns from Belgium in 2018 but his playing days at Chloorkop appear over.
