There are certain to be several comings and goings at Kaizer Chiefs after this season concludes, with several players linked with departures from Naturena.

At the end of this season, Njabulo Ngcobo will still have a year left on his contract, but after falling down the pecking order in recent times at Chiefs, it’s suggested he could be considering other options.

According to FARPost, the defender could be open to a “sensational” return to his former club AmaZulu at a time when Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango are heading to Chiefs, which is likely to further decrease his game-time.

“He has made it clear to his representatives that he wants to go where he will get game time. He wants to play football,” the FARPost source is quoted as saying. “At some point, he was in the national team and feels if he was playing consistently, he would have a chance of playing for Bafana Bafana.

“He is keen on AmaZulu, but he will be open to any other club that will give him a fair chance to play football.”

Meanwhile, in other news, Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to welcome back Khama Billiat from injury in the near future, with the talented playmaker having begun jogging again after a recent injury setback.

“Khama might be available for the last three or four games of the season,” Arthur Zwane commented earlier this month. “We are going to have to manage him and see if he will be ready again to play.”

However, there is an expectation that Billiat may be in his final chapter with Chiefs, with a report in a recent issue of Soccer Laduma suggesting the 32-year-old contract is unlikely to be renewed when it expires after this season.

It could bring an end to Billiat’s five-year stint at Naturena, which has largely failed to live up to its hype since his move from Mamelodi Sundowns.
