The Carling Knockout Cup has reached the semi-final stage of the tournament, the last four teams will battle for a spot in the final. The weekend round of fixtures will start off with the first semi-final when Richards Bay will be hosting Stellenbosch FC on Saturday afternoon. It will conclude on Sunday when Amazulu goes head to head with TS Galaxy.

A spot in the Carling Knockout Cup final is up for grabs, the plan is clear for all the four teams but the execution will decide the finalists. King Zwelithini Stadium will host the first Semi-final between Richards Bay and Stellenbosch FC, as the home side Richards Bay will be out to secure their maiden cup final since gaining promotion to the PSL. Stellenbosch will also be looking to make it one better than last season when they were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup semi-final by Sekhukhune United.

Who will book a ticket to the final?

Stellenbosch FC are going into the game with a slight edge over Richards Bay, after they managed to win the last two fixtures between the two sides. It will be interesting to see if Stellenbosch will carry on that form or Richards Bay will triumph in front of the home support. If recent head to head record is anything to go by, then the Natal Rich Boys will have to dig deep in order to overcome the Western Cape team.

The second semi-final will also be contested in the KwaZulu-Natal province when Amazulu will be playing hosts to TS Galaxy at Moses Mabhida Stadium. The two teams are no strangers to domestic cup finals, and they will try to use that experience to push one step closer to the currency of success in football; lifting a domestic cup.
