The one-day event, which includes four teams from the Premier Division, will be played at FNB Stadium with the first match kicking off at 9:00.

And that first semi-final will be between Sundowns and AmaZulu, and the bad news is that the Tshwane giants will beb without Peter Shalulile and Abubaker Nasir.

This was confirmed in a statement released by the organisers of the Carling Black Label Cup, who reported that both Shalulile and Nasir are injured.

Shalulile has missed the last five matches for Sundowns so far, so much so that he is reported to be trying to force an exit from the club.

Nasir, on the other hand, hasn’t featured for Sundowns in a long time, and his injury was unfortunate as he had just showed glimpses of what he can offer to the PSL champions.

Now, Shalulile and Nasir have, for now, be replaced with Thabiso Kutumela and Cassius Mailula respectively in the Sundowns starting line-up.

“Mamelodi Sundowns strikers Cassius Mailula and Thabiso Kutumela have also made their way into the starting line-up as Peter Shalulile and Abubaker Nasir have been ruled out after picking up injuries,” reads the statement.

The two withdrawals come after Kaizer Chiefs released a statement to confirm the unavailability of Itumeleng Khune and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana through injuries.

As previously mentioned, Sundowns will play the first semi-final against AmaZulu while Chiefs will take on Orlando Pirates in the second semi-final.
