This happened as TS Galaxy were leading Mamelodi Sundowns by 2-1 in the Last 16 of the Carling Knockout Cup at Mbombela Stadium.

Zungu was shown a straight red for this reckless and dangerous tackle on Parker, and he was visibly frustrated by the referee’s decision.

However, it is fair to mention that the referee was spot on in showing Zungu the red card, and perhaps the Sundowns midfielder would also later admitted.

Parker was immediately taken to hospital as he couldn’t continue with the match, and at 37, the former Bafana Bafana man may have played his last professional match.
