Mamelodi Sundowns continue to scramble for a suitable venue to play TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

The Brazilians had hoped to host TP Mazembe at Loftus Versfeld Stadium but the venue is occupied on the day as there’s a rugby match.

Local reports initially suggested that Sundowns were considering taking the game to FNB Stadium but The South African has it on good authority that it’s not the case.

On the same day, Saturday, 2 March, Kaizer Chiefs host Moroka Swallows in a league game at the same venue.

Kick-off is at 17:45.

Now, football fans around the country were excited at the prospect of being treated to a double-header at FNB Stadium.

However, the idea has been shot down already, and this means it’s back to square one for the Sundowns management.
