Orlando Pirates fans are eagerly awaiting Lesedi Kapinga’s official debut. Should he be thrown into the deep end against Djabal?

Orlando Pirates return to CAF Champions League action this evening when they host Djabal FC.

The Buccaneers made the long trip to the island of Comoros to face Djabal in the first leg last weekend.

Zakhele Lepasa’s late goal means Jose Riveiro’s side hold a slender 1-0 lead heading into tonight’s second leg.

The club confirmed via a statement that Lesedi Kapinga and Karim Kimvuidi were in line to make their debuts last weekend.

The duo however were nowhere to be seen the Orlando Pirates matchday squad.

Bucs Fans are eagerly awaiting Lesedi Kapinga’s debut at the club following his blockbuster move from Mamelodi Sundowns to Pirates.

Will he play any part this evening? It remains to be seen…

Jose Riveiro wary of Djabal threat

“I have this feeling in my stomach that on Friday we are going to compete because we are playing at home.” the Orlando Pirates coach told TimesLive.

“We don’t care so much about the name of the opponent, we go game by game and we have tried to play our best game every time so far this season.”

“I’m happy for the guy. He’s a guy whose always working hard, so it’s good that football is also paying back to him.” the Orlando Pirates coach said regarding Lepasa.

“Because he’s always in the right places like today and today he managed to put the ball in net more times than frequent. So I’m so happy for him, because it’s going to be good for the team, it’s good for Zakhele.

“There is room to improve always. We want to be more consistent going forward like we did today but today is a collective, it’s not only one player.”
