Jwaneng Galaxy coach Morena Ramoreboli says his team is preparing for the game of their lives against Orlando Pirates on Friday.

The Botswana champions defeated the Buccaneers 1-0 at home in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second round at the Botswana National Stadium two weeks ago.

Ramoreboli knows that beating Pirates will see his side qualify for the group stages. Jwaneng doesn’t need a win as a draw will be enough to see them through.

“We know that we have to be at our best in order to beat Pirates at Orlando. We are preparing for a game of our lives because we know that they will come out win guns blazing since we won the first leg,” said Jwaneng coach Ramoreboli.

The former Bafana Bafana interim coach is not a stanger to beating Pirates. In 2013, Ramoreboli’s Maluti FET College defeated the Buccaneers 4-1 in the Nedbank Cup in what was one of the biggest upsets in the competition’s history.

Ten years later, he continues to haunt Pirates, this time with Jwaneng.

“They will be determined to turn things around. So, they will try everything they can to make sure that they win. But, we won’t back down, we are going there to fight and to make sure that we stay in the competition. But, I’m happy with how things have gone so far in terms of preparing for this game. The players look shaft and they are all motivated to do well,” Ramoreboli added as per Citizen.
