Al Ahly open to any future collaboration with Kaizer Chiefs!

Al Ahly’s Mahmoud El Khatib has sent a special thanks to Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung for allowing the team to use their facilities.

Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib has sent a special thanks to Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung for allowing the team to use the facilities in Naturena.

Al Ahly arrived in the country on Wednesday to prepare for their CAF Champions League match against Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium.

And they were based at the Chiefs Village in Naturena; the move that caused a stir among football fans in the country, especially from the opposition benches.

Now, El Khatib sent an official letter to Motaung on Friday morning, expressing his gratitude to the Amakhosi boss for the hospitality.

According to a statement released by Al Ahly, El Khatib said in his letter to Motaung that the ‘Club of the Century’ is open to any future collaboration with Chiefs.

“Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly’s president, sent an official letter on Friday morning to Mr. Kaizer Motaung, Kaizer Chiefs’ chairman, to thank him for honoring Al Ahly’s football club’s delegation in South Africa on the sidelines of Al Ahly’s visit to Johannesburg to face Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. in the fourth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage,” reads the statement.

“El Khatib, on behalf of the club’s board of directors, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Kaizer Chiefs and made sure that Al Ahly is open to any future collaboration with the South African club to serve the greater good of African football.”
