Pitso Mosimane is a notable serial winner and he selects his AFCON title contenders as many national teams will battle for the lucrative title.

Pitso, a former Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns coach says Morocco are his team to unseat Senegal as AFCON champions – they are his title contenders.

Speaking to SuperSport TV via iDiski Times, Pitso says the Atlas Lions have no reason to fumble at AFCON and states the reason why the North Africans are his title contenders.

The Kagiso-born serial winner,Pitso, is currently without a job after he was linked with the vacant job at Kaizer Chiefs, he is one of the analysts at SuperSport during the AFCON tournament – he talks about title contenders.

As a serial winner, Pitso is arguably the best club coach on the African continent and shares his expertise throughout the coming weeks, saying he selects defending AFCON champions Senegal as title contenders.

The former Al Ahly coach, Mosimane states he is aware that the Lions of Teranga are aware of AFCON title demands and why they are the contenders.

As a former CAF Champions League title winner, Mosimane adds that coach Aliou Cisse’s men are tactically disciplined.

As things stand, Senegal claimed the previous tournament, when they beat Egypt to clinch the title in the final on penalties.

The West Africa title holders are in Group C together with Cameroon, the Gambia, and Guinea – they open their group stage campaign on Monday against Gambians.

“They are tactically aware and clever, and if they have a good coach, they always create problems,” adds Pitso.

“But I still go with Senegal, I know the coach, and because I know how tactically disciplined they are.”
