“I’m over the moon, I’m filled with joy and happiness…not for the penalties but for the team, we deserved it, we fought so hard in the end under 120 minutes, almost 130 minutes to fight and keep going. Guys were cramping you know, it just shows the desire and the will to keep going, so I’m just over the moon and glad that we came out victorious today.

Asked if Saturday was the best night of his career, Ronwen Williams said nothing can top saving four penalties to help his nation secure a semi-final spot.

“I don’t think anything can top this unless we go on and win it you know. Once again, it’s not me, it’s the team, it’s the analyst, we studied the penalties, and they sent me so many penalties so credit to the analyst.”
