The unexpected run to finish third has created an exciting opportunity for South Africa’s coach.

According to new reports, the 71-year-old has been approached by his former club.

Broos was spotted watching Brugge in recent days. He spent five years as a player and six as a coach at the club.

According to HLN, as per iDiskiTimes, Broos might leave Bafana to join Brugge as Technical Director.

“According to HLN, Brugge has now approached the Bafana boss, who was recently spotted at their home game at the Jan Breydel Stadium when they took on Anderlecht, an arena in close proximity to his current home,” the report said.

“It’s been reported in the new-look structure under CEO Bob Madou, they are seeking to rebuild the struggling giants with a Technical Director and Sporting Director to work with current head coach Ronny Deila.”

Should the Belgian leave Mzansi, Pitso Mosimane, Gavin Hunt and Benni McCarthy will emerge as hot candidates.
