Liverpool and Guinea star Naby Keita will NOT face Bafana Bafana!

Liverpool and Guinea star midfielder Naby Keita has been withdrawn from the squad that will face Bafana Bafana on Friday, 25 March.

Guinea and Bafana Bafana face off in an international friendly in Kortjrik, Belgium – with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 CAT.

Now, according to a statement released by Liverpool, Keita injured his knee and he’s feeling uncomfortable.

Keita, one of Guinea’s star players in the current squad, will also miss the international match against Zambia on 29 March.

LIVERPOOL STATEMENT ON NABY KEITA

“The Guinean Football Federation has reported today [Monday] that Naby Keita is set to miss their forthcoming fixtures due to a knee complaint,” said the statement.

Keita is a second high-profile player that this young group of Bafana Bafana will NOT be able to face in this international break.

Last week, France confirmed the withdrawal of veteran striker Karim Benzema from the squad that is scheduled to take on Ivory Coast and Bafana Bafana.
