Kaizer Chiefs fans were given a reality check by Bafana coach Hugo Broos who opted against selecting THREE Amakhosi players!

Kaizer Chiefs’ woeful form has had a negative effect on three first team Glamour Boys!

Bafana coach Hugo Broos named his squad for upcoming friendlies later this month today.

Notable exclusions from his last side that faced Morocco were Amakhosi’s Phathutshedzo Nange, Yusuf Maart and Bruce Bvuma.

The trio failed to make the grade following Arthur Zwane’s side’s dreadful start to the new season.

The South African men’s soccer team will face both Sierra Leone and Botswana later this month at the FNB Stadium.

Bafana will face Sierra Leone on 24 September before welcoming Botswana on 27 September at the Calabash.

Defenders: Nyiko Mobbie, Khuliso Mudau, Terrence Mashego, Innocent Maela, Rushine De Reuck, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Thibang Phete, Aubrey Modiba.
Midfielders: Goodman Mosele, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Teboho Mokoena, Siphelelo Sithole, Luke Le Roux.
Forwards: Khanyisa Mayo, Lyle Foster, Pule Mmodi, Mihlali Mayambela, Themba Zwane, Zakhele Lepasa.

In other news, a Kaizer Chiefs legend is ready to return to the PSL coaching scene according to reports!

Donald Ace Khuse, who acted as both an assistant coach as well as interim head coach at the Glamour Boys in the past, is looking for a head coach position!

Khuse has been actively involved in the Amakhosi youth structures during recent years but now seeks a head coach role in the PSL!

“He has asked his managers to actively start looking for jobs for him.” a Citizen report read regarding Donald Khuse.
“He wants to coach in the top flight preferably but would not mind starting in the first division. He feels he is now fully equipped to coach at senior level.”
