Ex Kaizer Chiefs star opens up on Ligue 1 transfer talk

A former Kaizer Chiefs star has broken his silence on reports linking him with a blockbuster move to the French Ligue 1

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has opened up on reports suggesting a blockbuster move to French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient.

Ngezana left the Amakhosi at the beginning of the season after securing a dream move to Europe.

After impressing in his first six months at Romanian giants FCSB, Ngezana could soon make another blockbuster to a French Ligue 1 side.

Here’s what the Amakhosi academy graduate had to say about his potential move to France.

“The change of environment, from Kaizer Chiefs to Romania, was not easy. But it is a process. Being linked with a move to Ligue 1 also makes me push harder in terms of hard work and not give up.” Ngezana told FARPost.

“You know, talent alone is not enough. You need to work hard and make a lot of sacrifices to play every week and perform well.

“I am aware of the links, but so far, I don’t have a solid offer. I haven’t been approached. Yes, my president [Gigi Becali] is talking about it, and you know, there is no smoke without fire. But there is no offer on the table.”

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Cole Alexander has reportedly returned to South Africa after concluding a deal with Polokwane City!

The 34-year-old midfielder joined Swedish Helsingborgs IF after his departure from the Glamour Boys.

However his stint in Europe lasted just six months with reports suggesting he has signed a new deal with Limpopo side Polokwane City!

Alexander has made over 280 appearances in the PSL for a host of clubs scoring 16 goals and assisting 11 more and will bring some healthy experience to Rise and Shine.

Cole Alexander has reportedly completed a move to DStv Premiership side Polokwane City, according to Unplayable.
