According to Soccer-Laduma, there is serious demand for Teboho Mokoena’s signature in Europe.

“The interest in Teboho (Mokoena) has been growing since he joined Sundowns. What I know is that Monaco’s interest has been there for a while now. They first inquired about (Cassius) Mailula but when they could not get him they then inquired about Teboho. Now they have renewed that interest. However there is another inquiry, this is from an English Premiership club that we can’t mention at the moment. There are very few people who know about it. They are a good club as well. Some of the things are not done by the Sporting Director but by the agent, so it’s a tricky situation but the interest is there from those two clubs. One from England and another from France,” said one source to the publication.

Maestro Mokoena doing the things for Bafana Bafana

Tebza has been superb at the base of midfield for South Africa in the tournament, dovetailing perfectly with Sphephelo Sithole to help the side control games in the centre of the par. We all know about his composure, silky first touch and reading of the game in a Sundowns jersey, but it’s great to see him flourishing for the national side. That sumptuous direct free-kick against Morocco’s Atlas Lions was a highlight of the tournament and he’ll be desperate to etch his name onto a few more headline moments. At 27, the maestro is entering his peak.
