Bafana next play DR Congo on Saturday

Having lost to Nigeria three times at the Afcon, odds were against Bafana but Hugo Broos’ men managed to take the game away from the West Africans, especially during extra-time.

The match was ultimately decided by penalties.

South Africa’s coach Hugo Broos, who resembles former WWE superstar Ric Flair, was praised for his work with the national team.

Although Broos’ charges are out of the tournament, they are in action again on Saturday against DR Congo
