This follows Bafana Bafana’s exploits in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) where they finished third and won bronze.

Bafana Bafana have broken into the top 10 nations in Africa following the release of the February FIFA and CAF rankings.

A spot in the top 10 has always been SAFA’s dream, and that has finally been achieved following Bafana Bafana’s recent exploits.
Bafana Bafana pulled the unthinkable as they finished third at the recent Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) and won bronze medals.

This was the first time that Bafana Bafana had come home with something from an Afcon tournament since winning bronze 24 years ago.

BAFANA BAFANA UP TO 10TH IN AFRICA
Bafana Bafana went into the 34th edition of the Afcon finals sitting 12th in on the African continent, meaning they have gone up two places.

The results against both Namibia and Morocco played a huge role in Bafana Bafana breaking into the top 10 in Africa.
Hugo Broos’ men hammered Namibia 4-0 before beating Morocco 2-0 in the Last 16 of the tournament.
