‘Bafana will be back after three games’ – Junior Khanye makes Afcon prediction

“We have to look at the standard of the DStv Premiership, we can’t be fooled, is the quality enough?” Khanye raises valid questions.

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has shared his predictions on Bafana Bafana’s chances ahead of the African Cup of Nations.

Speaking on iDiski TV, the 38-year-old criticized Hugo Broos’ team selection.

“In his eyes, the team he selected, those are the best players but there’s too many questions about these players, to be honest, some of them don’t even play regularly for their clubs,” he said.

Khanye says Bafana will stumble at the first hurdle

Khanye said it would be difficult for Bafana in the Afcon due to the fact that they mostly have PSL-based players.

“Who are you playing against? Tunisa, Mali and Namibia. Maybe against Namibia, they might get a draw but again,each and every year, these countries do their reseach and improve.”

In his predictions, Khanye said Bafana would play only three games.

“Bafana will draw Namibia and lose these two games. They will lose to Tunisia and Mali and come back…and the Afcon is going to Senegal, one of the strongest sides. They don’t have players that compete in their league, look at them, they compete in top-class leagues and play regularly,” Khanye said.
