Bafana settled and ready for their first COSAFA Cup match

The Bafana Bafana COSAFA squad have landed safely in KwaZulu-Natal and will be in action this Wednesday in Durban.

Bafana Bafana have settled in KwaZulu-Natal ahead of the COSAFA Cup which is being held in Durban from 5-16 July 2023.

The team spearheaded by coach Morena Ramoreboli reported for camp on 27 June 2023 and will play their opening match against Namibia on Wednesday, 5 July.

Ramoreboli told safa.net he was satisfied with the preparations so far and further stated the importance of doing well in the COSAFA Cup.

“Honestly speaking, everything so far has been good for us. I think we really need to thank the association under the leadership of SAFA President Dr, Danny Jordaan for the support so far,” he said.

“The technical team and the manager have done well in ensuring that the team’s preparations are well managed ahead of the tournament. We played a practice match in Pretoria against North West University before departure to Durban and it was a really good match. (https://rentalsfloridakeys.com) Yes, we wanted to activate and prepare for the tournament, which I think helped with this practice match and gave us what we wanted,” said Ramoreboli.

“We arrived in Durban on Sunday (2 July 2023) and we already had our analysis, and we had our first training session today (on Monday).

“Every player we requested is in camp. Honestly speaking these are the kind of tournaments that play an important role in the rankings of Bafana Bafana and we should try our level best to win and compete, and I think it is the right opportunity for us to perform well and get positive results,” he said.
