Bafana Bafana latest squad: Hugo Broos makes surprise inclusions

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced a 23-man squad that will face both Sierra Leone and Botswana at FNB Stadium next week.

Broos’ charges will take on Sierra Leone on 24 September before welcoming Botswana three days later in back-to-back international friendlies.

And there are quite a few of surprise inclusions in this latest Bafana Bafana squad due to a number of reasons.

Zakhele Lepasa has made the cut following his brace against TS Galaxy last week while the man he scored against, Melusi Buthelezi, has also been included.

Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is also part of the latest Bafana Bafana squad alongside Mihlali Mayambela who plays for Aris Limassol FC.

Furthermore, Kaizer Chiefs attacker Kgaogelo Sekgota also cracked the nod after some impressive displays for Arthur Zwane’s team this season.

The two friendly matches will also see the return of Mamelodi Sundowns maestro Themba Zwane who was previously overlooked due to his age.
