AFCON 2023: Bookmakers still not big believers in Bafana Bafana

Despite knocking powerhouses Morocco out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), bookmakers still don’t fancy South Africa as title contenders.

Hugo Broos’ men will now take on island nation Cape Verde in the quarter-finals on Saturday, 3 February at 22:00 (SA time).

Leading South African bookmakers Hollywoodbets have installed South Africa as the fifth-favourites for the title among the eight remaining nations.

Bafana Bafana can be backed at 11/1.

Nigeria are the current favourites at 37/20 followed by tournament hosts Ivory Coast at 3/1.
