Bafana Bafana are in Pot 3 alongside Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Mauritania, Zambia and Cape Verde Island.

And this means Bafana Bafana cannot be in the same group with any of the abovementioned nations after the official draw.
Hugo Broos’ men will draw one team from each of the other three Pots – Pot 1, Pot 2 and Pot 4 – which include some heavyweights.

For instance, Nigeria Cameroonian, Ghana and Mali are in Pot 2 alongside Congo DR and Burkina Faso who finished fourth in the previous edition.
Bafana Bafana will also draw one of the six teams in Pot 1, and they are Cote d’Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia.

Perhaps, Bafana Bafana may pick a point or three from any of the teams in Pot 4 – Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Gambia, Angola and Tanzania.
