Gabriel Jesus back in the frame for Arsenal

The 25-year-old Brazilian striker has been out with a serious knee injury since the World Cup, but he’s nearing a return to action for the Premier League leaders. It’s a massive boost for Mikel Arteta’s side who currently lead the way by five points ahead of Manchester City. Jesus was pictured in full training, and has travelled with the squad to Lisbon where they face Sporting on Thursday night in the Europa League round of 16 first leg.

Jesus to return before Easter?

There are rumours that Gabriel Jesus might even be on Arsenal’s bench against Sporting. Deputy striker Eddie Nketiah has performed admirably in Jesus’ absence, but Nketiah too picked up an injury of his own and missed the Gunners’ thrilling 3-2 win over Bournemouth.
