AmaZulu have officially completed the signing of an Orlando Pirates midfielder who endured a frustrating season last term.

In a statement released on Monday, Usuthu announced the arrival of Ben Motshwari on a one-year deal from Pirates.

According to the statement, AmaZulu have an option to renew Motshwari’s contract when it expires at the end of the season.

It may be fair to mention that Motshwari left Pirates a troubled man after the arrest incident that took place in September 2021.

The 32-year-old was arrested on an alleged assault case opened against him, and he was subsequently suspended by the club.
Motshwari’s suspension was lifted after the case against against him was struck off the roll by the Randfontein Magistrates Court.

However, the tough-tackling midfielder was never the same on the pitch as he was often reduced to a spectator at Pirates.
Motshwari will now look to reignite his career at AmaZulu under Pablo Franco Martin with the hope to earn a new deal next season.
