Salah needs just a goal to climb Liverpool’s all-time top goalscorer

Mohamed Salah needs just one more goal to clib into sixth spot of Liverpool’s all-time top goal scorers.

The Egyptian’s tally for the Reds currently stands at 182 in all competitions and he’ll move level with Robbie Fowler in sixth spot the next time he gets on the scoresheet.

In terms of league goals, Salah needs to net twice to match Harry Chambers’ total of 135, which is the fifth-highest in the club’s history.

Against Leeds United, Salah broke the record for most left-footed goals scored in the English Premier League surpassing former Reds star Robbie Fowler in the process.

The Egyptian superstar has struggled to find form this season only scoring 15 goals this season for the Reds. He will however get the opportunity to add to his tally when Liverpool entertain Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

A win this weekend will see Jürgen Klopp reach the milestone of 100 league victories at Anfield as Reds manager.

Only Tom Watson (in 166 games), Bill Shankly (139) and Bob Paisley (131) have achieved the feat above. This will be Klopp’s 144th league fixture in L4.

The Reds have scored six or more goals in three league games this season to achieve the feat for the first time since 1963-64 when they netted half-a-dozen times in four matches.

Roberto Firmino has come off the bench and scored in each of Liverpool’s last two home games. He has 15 goals as a substitute for the Reds and only David Fairclough has ever scored more (18).
