Watch this viral video which captured the moment when a South African schoolboy executed a monster penalty kick.

In a now viral video clip, the schoolboy is seen lining up an angled kick from deep inside his own half and then effortlessly slotting the kick between the uprights.

The freakish piece of skill is believed to have been executed by the schoolboy during an inter schools match this past weekend.

Could this long-range kicker be South Africa and the Springboks’ next Frans Steyn?

WEEKEND SCHOOLS RUGBY WRAP

In the biggest upset of the week, Milnerton High came from 28-10 down to snatch a 31-28 win against southern suburbs giants Bishops on the picturesque Piley Rees field.

Milnerton’s victory drew attention and celebration from their most renowned old boy, Damian de Allende, who shared a photo of the final score on his Instagram story with the caption: “Hook it into my veins Millies rugby.”

This result comes just a fortnight after Milnerton completed a miracle comeback to beat another leafy suburbs side, Rondebosch Boys High, who are Bishops’ traditional rivals on the schools rugby scene.

Speaking about Rondebosch, they returned to winning ways on Saturday, by chalking up a whopping 55-22 triumph in their south suburbs derby against South African College High School (SACS).

The biggest and most anticipated contest of the schools rugby schedule for the week was the Premier Interschools showdown between Grey College and the unbeaten Paarl Gymnasium and both teams delivered to produce a spectacle.

Hosts Paarl Gym were full value for their 17-10 lead at the midway mark, but Grey College proved once against why they are never should never be written off as they mounted an epic comeback to seal an agonising 29-27.

Schoolboy Quintin Potgieter was the best performer for the hosts, as he crossed for two tries in front of their home fans in Paarl. But the schools rugby day belonged to Grey College’s midfield-axis — Pieter van der Merwe and Ethan Adams — who ran riot and ripped Gym’s defence to shreds to chalk up three touchdowns between the pair of them.

In other notable schools rugby results, Queen’s College claimed first blood in their annual derby against Eastern Cape rivals Dale College (29-15), unbeaten Paul Roos beat Paarl Boys High 25-10 in a Winelands school derby and Monument got their Noordvaal Cup campaign off to a successful start with a 31-25 win against Helpmekaar College.
