The 2023 URC Grand Final will take place in Cape Town as the defending champions Stormers meet Munster in a clash of the hemispheres.

It has been confirmed that the title-deciding season finale will take place on Saturday, 27 May at 18:30 South African time (17:30 UK & Ireland).
As the highest-ranked team to reach the Grand Final, Stormers (3) will host the game in Cape Town against a Munster (5) side who won the round 17 encounter between the sides in April.
Three-time league winners Munster will be seeking to lift the Vodacom URC trophy for the first time while the Stormers are on a mission to become back-to-back champions in the first two seasons of the new competition.
Tickets for the game will go on sale in the coming days and will be announced on URC and Stormers’ social media channels.
For those at home and around the world this mouth-watering match-up will be broadcast live on SuperSport (South Africa), TG4 (Ireland), ViaPlay (UK), URC.tv (Ireland and selected territories), Premier Sports (Ireland), Discovery + (Italy) and FloRugby.com.

WHY IS THE FINAL IN CAPE TOWN?
The Stormers side had beaten Connacht 43-25 in the first URC semi-final on Saturday, but had to wait for the result of the second all-Irish semi-final to find out in which city and country the final will take place.
Leinster finish top of the overall URC log, so if they won their semi-final, they would have hosted the Stormers in the Grand Final at the Aviva Stadium a fortnight from now.
But an injury-ravaged Munster, against all odds, have caused the upset of the season when they shocked their Irish rivals by the narrowest possible margin.
And as a result, the Stormers will now welcome Munster to Cape Town Stadium for the Grand Final on Saturday, 27 May.
