Bulls ramp up recruitment with signing of Pumas duo

Bulls raid Pumas of a pair of their best, most influential players ahead of URC campaign.

Jake White have yet again bolstered the Bulls squad with the recruitment of two Pumas players in preparation for the 2023/2024 season.

The Bulls announced the capture of Pumas pair Devon Williams (fullback) and Deon Slabbert (lock) on loan deals for the duration of the United Rugby Championship.

“We can confirm that fullback Devon Williams and lock Deon Slabbert have both joined us on loan,” the Bulls said in a statement.

WHO ARE THE NEW BULLS PAIR

Williams and Slabbert played influential roles in the Pumas’ run to this year’s Currie Cup final, where they came up short against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Williams has an integral part of the Nelspruit team since joining in 2016 and he has previously represented the Stormers and Western Province.

Slabbert has been on the Pumas’ payroll since 2022 and he was previously linked with a move to the Dragons in Wales.

ALL THE NEW RECRUITS HEADING TO LOFTUS

They will join Springboks fullback Willie le Roux and Wilco Louw, as well as Jannes Kirsten, Sebastian de Klerk, Jaco van der Walt, Henry Immelman, Sergeal Petersen and Khutha Mchunu as the new players at Loftus for the upcoming campaign.
