The Bulls opened their Super Rugby season with a 40-3 demolition job over the Stormers at Loftus on Saturday.

The home side struck first at left wing Rosko Specman stepped through a gap to skip through for the opening try.

The Stormers hit back soon with SP Marais slotting a penalty, but that would be all the Cape Town side could muster.

Specman went in for his second try with Jonny Kotze adding to the Stormers’ woes and the visitors were trailing 21-3 at half-time.

The destruction continued with Jesse Kriel collecting a chip over the top to make it 28-3.

They followed that up with four consecutive penalties from flyhalf Handre Pollard as the Stormers left with nothing but embarrassment.
