World Rankings: Springboks start the year miles ahead!

With the Six Nations about to get under way, here is a reminder of just how far the Springboks are ahead of the chasing pack.

Following on from the Springboks’ triumphant World Cup campaign, South Africa boast 94.54 points in the world ruby rankings, while Ireland are next best in second with 90.57, having moved above the All Blacks after their loss in the RWC final.

Beaten quarter-finalists, France, are fourth, England sit fifth, while Scotland are sixth despite exiting in the pool stages of the World Cup.

These Six Nations teams will all hope to earn significant rankings points during the upcoming tournament, which kicks off in early February.
