A little under a month ago, Willie le Roux played a starring role in the Springboks’ 12-11 victory over the All Blacks in the final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

As a result of the win, Le Roux became one of 23 players in the Springbok squad to who are double World Cup winners and to do so back-to-back.

At club level, he had played for Toyota Verblitz from 2019, but just before the start of the 2023 World Cup it was announced that Le Roux would be returning to South Africa post-RWC after signing for the Bulls.

Well, with the World Cup and the subsequent after-party now well and truly over, Le Roux — along with fellow World Cup winners Marco van Staden, Kurt-Lee Arendse and Canan Moodie — reported for duty at Loftus earlier this week.
