Springboks soar above New Zealand in World Rugby rankings – UPDATE

The Springboks have overtaken New Zealand in the World Rugby rankings after their comprehensive 35-7 victory in Twickenham.

South Africa have risen to number two in the world as a result of their dominant display on Friday evening.

They needed to do beat the All Blacks by more than 16 to overtake their opponents in the World Rankings and they did just that, winning by 28 points to secure South Africa’s biggest ever win over New Zealand.

The Springboks will move to No 1 if Ireland draw or lose to Samoa on Saturday.
