Oh Rassie… you got to love him. He stands for what he believes in and he makes it clear for the world to see.

Less than 24 hours after returning to his first official Test match since World Rugby banned him, Rassie Erasmus is back at it again.

However, he has taken a slightly different approach this time…

Erasmus showcased the clear inconsistencies displayed in how two crucial and marginal decisions were incorrectly officiated.

The first part of the clip shows how an Irish player clearly kicked the ball out of the ruck, with the resultant turnover leading to a try.

The second part of the video shows the Springboks doing the same thing (kicking the ball in the ruck) but they were penaliSed for it.

Erasmus deliberately slows down the video at the point of controversy – when the players foot makes contact with the ball at the ruck.

Now, the official was correct in blowing the Springboks up for the offence with just over two minutes to play.

However, Ireland’s second try should not have stood as a player can not use kick the ball in a ruck and must use their body (while supporting their bodyweight) to clean or ruck over the ball.

Unfortunately, the Springboks have been subjected to countless questionable, and at times dubious, officiating throughout the season.

Hopefully, World Rugby will take note of these clear and unjust discrepancies before the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
