A brazen break-in at the SA Rugby offices in Cape Town was caught on camera and the authorities are now asking the public to help them identify the two suspects.

A series of security camera footage caught the moment two male suspects broke in the SA Rugby offices, and stole several items including computers and Springboks jerseys.

While the local rugby scene, from top administrators down to the average fan, is still riding the wave of euphoria after the Springboks’ historic Rugby World Cup campaign, a couple of criminals have singlehandedly ruined the air of positively with a brazen act.

On Tuesday, anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee shared a series of videos and photos — likely from the security cameras at SARU House — documenting the entire break-in.

There were also several clear facial images of the two suspects, who according to Abramjee, stole computers, Springboks jerseys and other items.

In a three-part series of posts on popular social media platform X, Abramjee first shared the news with one video and two still images of the perpetrators, followed by a post featuring four still images of the two males, before rounding off the thread with a post featuring four clear videos showing how the gained entry into the office building and how they went about robbing the place.
