Springboks: Pollard, AM amongst NINE players on Rugby World Cup standby! – Report

Jacques Nienaber has named NINE players players on standby for the Rugby World Cup. Five have been sent to the UK for tests against Wales and New Zealand.

Nienaber has placed NINE players on standby for the Rugby World Cup.

Most noticeably, Handre Pollard and Lukhanyo AM, with both players carrying injury niggles.

NIENEBER PLACES NINE SPRINGBOKS ON RUGBY WORLD CUP STANDBY

Nienaber has decided to place NINE players on standby.

“The nine players are Am (centre), De Jager (lock), Jean-Luc du Preez (utility forward), Thomas du Toit (prop), Joseph Dweba (hooker), Herschel Jantjies (scrumhalf), Pollard (flyhalf), Evan Roos (No 8) and Gerhard Steenekamp (prop). The five travelling to the UK on Saturday are Du Toit, Du Preez, Dweba, Pollard and Am,” Nienaber stated on SA Rugby.
