Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane will be hoping to add a second Rugby World Cup winners’ medal to his collection, but under different circumstances at the 2023 showpiece in France.

Nyakane was part of the Springboks’ 2019 Rugby World Cup squad as well, but he had to withdraw from the tournament after suffering a tournament-ending injury in the pool stage in Japan. Four years later, Nyakane will be looking to play bigger role in this campaign than he did the previous one, but at the same time he’ll be hoping for the exact same outcome for the Springboks.
