A South African toddler has gone viral on social media after a video of him pretending to be Manie Libbok was shared on TikTok. In the video, the kid introduces himself as ‘Manie Libbok’ and then later on only reacts when he is addressed as such.

Dressed in Springbok gear from head to toe and clutching a rugby ball in one hand, he also goes on to sing the national during which he throws his free hand over his chest, much like the Springboks do during the anthem.

The video has since been showed to the man himself by the SuperSport social media content crew in France and Libbok’s reaction video is as wholesome as the young boy’s video.

The Springbok flyhalf was initially lost for words and overwhelmed by the love from the boy, but later said: “That’s why we play, to inspire young kids like that!”

LIBBOK READY PLAYMAKER BATTLE WITH JOHNNY SEXTON

Manie Libbok, who has established himself as the Bok’s first-choice flyhalf this season, has been a key figure for the team, and while he is well aware of the challenge posed by Ireland’s star flyhalf, he says he is looking forward to the contest.

“Johnny is a great player and he’s done amazing things for Ireland over the years,” said Libbok. “On a personal note, I’m preparing as well as I can, and it’s going to be a nice challenge. We are playing the No 1 team in the world, so it’s a massive game for us all.”
