Jantjies just can’t keep out the headlines.
From being arrested on a flight to the saga with Zeenat Simjee and being dropped by the Boks. Now, he is taking up a new sport as he takes a break from rugby.

Jantjies has been under tremendous pressure of late with the media, family and Bok squad all having a huge part to play.
Therefore, it was inevitable that he would end up blowing off steam. So, this is exactly what he is doing as he is now boxing.

However, do not be confused by this change of sports.
Jantjies is still a professional rugby player, despite the likely termination of Red Hurricanes contract in Japan. Therefore, the former Springbok flyhalf is set to be given a lifeline on his rugby career. This, after Midi Olympique confirmed that French giants Toulon are interested in signing him.
