The heroes of the Rugby World Cup are showing off their trophy in some style. The Springboks have continued their five-day tour of South Africa on Friday morning, embarking upon a glorious trek across Durban.
KZN is now the second province to receive the World Cup winners, after the lads partied hard in Gauteng on Thursday. They stopped off in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Soweto – much to the delight of the thousands of fans who had lined the streets to welcome home the heroes of Yokohama.
The Boks are the only team to win the Webb Ellis trophy on three different continents – Africa, Europe and Asia. Their stellar achievement was crowned on Tuesday evening, when thousands of fans descended on OR Tambo to give the lads the rousing reception they deserve. Expect that energy to remain throughout the weekend.
Their arrival in KwaMashu has already gone down a storm…
