The 2023 edition of rugby’s global spectacle gets under way with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, 8 September at 20:00 (SA time), followed shortly thereafter by the opening match between France and New Zealand at 21:15 (SA time).

The Springboks are aiming for a record fourth World Cup title having been crowned champions in 1995, 2007 and 2019.

They will get their campaign under way against Scotland in Marseille on Sunday, 10 September at 17:45 (SA time).
