As tempers boiled over in the Pool B Test between Ireland and Scotland, a South African involved in the game turned the scuffle into a wrestling match with one wild move.

South African and former Bulls and Junior Springbok star Pierre Schoeman was lucky to avoid punishment after his bizarre scuffle with an opponent in the match between Ireland and Scotland.

Scotland needed to a victory to stay in the World Cup title race, but any hopes they harboured of getting the desired result were dash early on as Ireland ran riot from start to finish.

With the game all but over as a contest, tempers boiled over on both sides and a big brawl broke out between the two sets of players.

However, the spotlight fell on Schoeman’s contribution in the fight, with the South African body-slamming Ireland hooker Dan Sheehan over the adversing hoarding boards.

A video clip of the South African channelling his inner wrestler and going full WWE on Sheehan went viral on social media, with many questioning why there was no TMO intervention assist the referee in handing out any sort of punishment to Schoeman.
