Rugby World Cup kit reveal: Argentina

Argentina are the latest team to unveil their two playing strips set to be worn at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France later this year.

Argentina are one of just nine out of the 20 teams — that will compete at the 2023 Rugby World Cup — who’ve unveiled their strip for the tournament which kicks off in Paris on Friday, 8 September.

THE NEW-LOOK LOS PUMAS JERSEY EXPLAINED

The primary kit is the classic sky blue and white hoops with the Puma sitting proudly over the player’s heart. The fit features a classic collar with a v-neck as has been typical for Argentina kits over the last few seasons.

Meanwhile, the secondary strip has shown a lot more creativity. The navy kit features a white band running from the left shoulder across the torso to the right hip with a red round neck subtle collar. The same red is seen on the band of the sleeves.

The inspiration for the kit is the Granaderos, who, led by national hero Jose de San Martin, liberated the country from Spanish rule in the 1800s.

FANS ARE LOVING ARGENTINA’S RUGBY WORLD CUP KITS

The Rugby Dao reacted by claiming, “Los Pumas are winning the kit race so far!”, with many shorter reactions along the same lines.

Popular rugby columnist Paul Williams echoed the same sentiment by declaring, “The Pumas will never have a bad jersey.”

Thala Msutu made a subtle reference to some of the jerseys that have not been received well such as Ireland and New Zealand by thanking Nike and Los Pumas.

Another user, Lloyd Corleone could not hold in the excitement.

The away kit generated a lot of reactions with an overwhelming amount being positive responses.

The Humble Leinster Supporters Club had only good to say about both kits with the secondary strip particularly catching their eye.

#ToulonRugby adores the kit, tweeting, “No one does kits like the Pumas. Take. My. Money”
