Thanks to a World Rugby directive to help colour blind viewers distinguish between the sides playing, all 20 nations at this year’s tournament in France were required to submit alternative jersey options.

The Springboks’ ‘hyper-jade’ ‘away’ strip – which they wore against Scotland in their opening match – was lambasted by past players and spectators.

To compound matters, that jersey was deemed too similar to Ireland’s green jersey, forcing the Springboks into wearing their THIRD choice kit this weekend.
